Non-Canadian citizens who are entering Lakehead-Georgian from a high school, or who are transferring from an international college or university, will be considered for Undergraduate Entrance Scholarships. The scholarship is available to the top international students applying to Lakehead-Georgian for 2023-2024. In addition to the entrance scholarships (based on academic merit), international Lakehead-Georgian students starting Fall 2023 are eligible for the $4,000 International Visionary Award:

International Entrance Scholarships and Awards are automatically awarded, with no application required, to non-Canadian citizens who are entering Lakehead University from a recognized high school curriculum, or who are transferring from an international college or university. The scholarship is available to the top international high school students applied to Lakehead University for 2023-2024.
1 $10,000 x four years. Renewable provided a 90.0% average is achieved in each academic year. If a student’s university academic average falls between 80.0 and 89.9%, the student will receive an amended scholarship valued at $7,500 CAD/year for each subsequent academic year for the remaining term of the scholarship.

3 Non-renewable, one-time only scholarship awarded in year one.
4 Maximum length of scholarship term is 4 academic years or until the first degree is awarded, whichever occurs first. To be considered eligible for scholarship consideration, recipients must be entering Years 1, 2, or 3 of a minimum 4-year undergraduate degree program. Recipients whose status changes and may be charged domestic fees will have their scholarship value reassessed to equate to the domestic entrance scholarship grid and regulations available at that time.

Guaranteed and Renewable Scholarships
For Students Admitted for 2023-2024
Students attending a Canadian secondary school with final averages of 86% and higher, who meet the terms and conditions for scholarship, are guaranteed a renewable entrance scholarship according to the following values.
Scholarship amount to be distributed evenly between fall and winter semester.

Terms and Conditions
To be eligible for consideration for the guaranteed and renewable scholarships, students must:
Be currently enrolled full-time in a Canadian secondary school (minimum of three Ontario grade 12 U/M courses or Canadian provincial equivalent within the 2022-2023 regular school year
Have been continuously enrolled full-time (no gaps in full-time attendance prior to the 2022-2023 regular school year)
Be enrolling in a post secondary institution for the first time
Have submitted the correct and complete application for admission to the program for which the scholarship is being granted by September 1, 2023
Canadian citizens, permanent residents of Canada, protected persons in Canada and international students are eligible for this award.

The University of Calgary International Entrance Scholarship
The University of Calgary International Entrance Scholarship is a prestigious award that recognizes outstanding accomplishments of an international student beginning their undergraduate studies at the University in the Fall term. The criteria for the Scholarship includes not only academic excellence but also accomplishments outside the classroom.

Scholarship value/inclusions:
The scholarship is $15,000, renewable annually in the second, third and fourth year at the University of Calgary, provided recipients achieve a GPA of 2.60 or more over a minimum of 24.00 units in the previous fall and winter terms. The total amount over 4 years of undergraduate program is $60,000.
Eligibility:
Applicants must be international students who are registered full-time in an undergraduate degree program that commences in the Fall term. They have to be new students. To be considered for a scholarship, a student must normally present a minimum GPA of 3.20. They must also have satisfied the university’s English Language Proficiency requirement.

Description
The Glendon International Excellence Scholarship will be awarded to international students who are admitted to Glendon with top academic standing (80% and higher or equivalent), and who demonstrate leadership through community service or excellence in sports or the arts. Eligibility will be based on a letter of recommendation from a high school teacher or school counsellor, a complete application including a 300-word statement demonstrating the applicants leadership attributes and the contribution they will make to Glendon. This award gives 10 recipients $10,000 toward their first year in a Glendon program, renewable for the same amount each year of full-time studies up to a maximum of 4 years.
To renew this award recipients must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 8.0 over a minimum of 24 credits taken during a school year (including the preceding summer semester, fall and winter semesters).
